Female Chef ~ Cap d'Antibes ~ 10 July - 21 Aug

Our clients on Cap d’Antibes are currently seeking a chef to complete the above dates. For cultural reasons the chef must be a female. In general there will be two adults and 3 younger children plus a small interior staff to prepare meals for. The family like a wide variety of cuisines and the chef will be expected to prepare a selection of interesting foods for the children as well as the adults.

Accommodation is not offered with this role therefore the chef must have their own transport and live within easy travelling distance of Antibes. Ability to legally invoice the client is an advantage, all candidates must have EU passports or a current carte de sejour.

Salary €350 net per day

Start date: 10th July

Live- out Housekeeper ~ Vence ~ 8-21 July

An experienced housekeeper who is able to provide excellent cleaning and laundry services is required to join a small interior team in a luxury home in Vence, replacing a summer housekeeper who is currently on sick leave. Working days/hours to be confirmed.

Duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping

  • Laundry and ironing

  • Informal table service ( not essential)

Requirements:

  • Excellent similar experience

  • Fluent English

  • Excellent references from previous employers

  • Driver with own vehicle

  • EU passport or current carte de sejour

This role does not offer accommodation therefore applicants must be already living within easy travelling distance of Vence.

Summer Butler ~ July & Aug ~ Chateau ~ Var

An experienced butler is required by our returning clients.The property is extensive with numerous dependences for guest accommodation and services.  It will be the role of the Summer Butler to oversee the maintenance, daily care and meticulous presentation of these buildings plus the main house, as well as acting as concierge for those staying at the chateau.

The butler must have an excellent eye for detail, be super-organised and be an excellent team player. The chateau often hosts high-profile guests therefore a calm, low key approach and total discretion are essential for this role. A signed NDA will be required. Accommodation can be provided in the area.

Requirements:

  • EU nationality or long term carte de sejour

  • Excellent previous hospitality experience

  • Excellent ‘team player’

  • Physically fit as property has an extensive range of additional and wide-spread guest buildings, studios, gym etc

  • Fluent English and good French

  • Calm - Discreet - Flexible

  • Super-organised and willing to learn new skills

  • Excellent letters of reference

  • Clean Driving license

It is important to note that applicants must have a flexible and willing approach, at this property even the estate manager will help to make beds and clean if needed. The general ethos is ‘No job too big - no job too small’ - this attitude is essential to be able to work well within this team. Kitchen Assistant/Staff Cook ~ Mougins ~ 1 July to 19 July POSITION NOW FILLED

An experienced kitchen assistant/staff cook is required to provide support to a private chef employed during this period by a large family staying at their vacation home close to Mougins.

The assistant will help the main chef with general food preparation throughout the day and will also be responsible for helping to prepare simple meals for the numerous household staff working at the property. Applicants should have good cooking skills and experience working as a chef’s assistant.

Candidates must speak a good level of English and because this role does not offer accommodation, candidates should live within easy travelling distance of Mougins and have their own transport.

Salary: €25 net pr hr

Waitress ~ Mouans Sartoux ~ 1 July to 19 July

An experienced service professional is required to provide F&B service to the female members of a busy Middle Eastern family, working from approximately 12pm to 9pm. These times may change occasionally therefore applicants should have a flexible approach. Due to cultural requirements, only female candidates can be considered for this role. Applicants should live within easy travelling distance of Mouans Sartoux and must have excellent previous experience in formal and informal table and general F&B service.

Salary: €150 net pr day

Butler/Manager's Assistant ~ Chateau ~ Var

A youthful and ultra-discreet butler is required for this new role, working in an exciting and busy chateau environment alongside an established team of professionals. This role is not only a guest service and FOH position, the current estate manager is seeking a candidate who can provide the 5 star services for year-round guests and the Principal, but will also be under the training of the estate manager, learning to work as his assistant with the possibility of taking over the property manager role several years in the future.

The property manager is seeking a candidate who is able to make a long-term commitment to this property and employer. The current team have been in place for several years and only applicants who have a serious interest in making a permanent move into a stable yet very exciting role can be considered.

The property is extensive with numerous dependences for guest accommodation and services.  It will be the role of the Butler/AM to oversee the maintenance, daily care and meticulous presentation of these buildings plus the main house, as well as acting as concierge for those staying at the chateau.

Guests at the property appreciate the beautifully simple yet 5* level of accommodation, food and services provided, therefore the new butler must have a stunningly good eye for detail, be super-organised and an excellent team player. The chateau often hosts high-profile guests therefore a calm, low key approach and total discretion are essential for this role. A signed NDA will be required.

The role will begin on a CDD for the summer months and if all has gone well then this will be converted to a CDI contract. Summer accommodation can be provided in the area however in the long term the chosen candidate will be expected to source their own accommodation; salary negotiations allowing for this will be discussed at that time. This client is prepared to wait for the right candidate if necessary although preferably they will be able to start employment during the busy summer season.

Live-In Butler/Stewardess ~ St Tropez  ~ July 24th to Sept 6th

Our regular client is currently seeking a female butler/stewardess who is able to provide F&B services for at his vacation property in St Tropez. 
Duties:

  • Table service (relatively informal)

  • Setting and decoration of tables

  • F&B guest services throughout the day

Requirements:

  • Prior F&B experience on yachts or land

  • Fluent English

  • Driving license

  • EU nationality or French carte de sejour

Accommodation of an en-suite bedroom at the property is offered and the client has said that this role could be a good fit for a yacht stewardess. Due to the staff accommodation offered, only female candidates can be considered for this role

Seasonal Housekeeper ~ St Paul de Vence ON HOLD

Our regular summer client is seeking a seasonal housekeeper to join a small team of housekeepers at a large luxury property in St Paul de Vence, working hours will generally be from around midday to 7pm/8pm  - 6 days per week.

Duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping

  • Assist with laundry person when required

  • Ability to provide guests and family with tea/coffee/drinks service would be an advantage

This role does not offer accommodation therefore applicants must already be living within easy travelling distance of St Paul de Vence. Candidates must speak English and have an EU passport or a current carte de sejour

Salary:€3k net pm (CDD)

Housekeeper ~ Cap Martin ~  Immediate start POSITION NOW FILLED

An experienced, meticulous and methodical housekeeper is required to provide at least 6 weeks of full-time housekeeping duties, possibly leading to a long term contract. The busy American clients need a housekeeper who is able to work  9am - 5pm and Monday to Friday, in a large apartment located close to Cap Martin. Due to an unexpected change in plans, this client urgently requires a housekeeper who is able to begin work very quickly.

Duties:

  • Shopping and errands

Requirements:

  • Excellent prior experience

  • Fluent English, some spoken French preferred but not essential

Resident Couple ~ Vence ON HOLD UNTIL AUGUST

A very experienced domestic couple is required to handle the day-to-day running, maintenance and upkeep of a large luxury villa located close to Vence. The owners are generally in residence for 3 months per year, mainly in the high season at which time a 7* level of service is required; a seasonal chef and  additional service and housekeeping staff are employed in the summer months however for the rest of the year the resident couple will be expected to clean and maintain the property; a gardening company visits several times per week. Applicants must have extensive experience of running this type of high level, high service property with a strong record of providing discreet and seamless guest services.

Interior duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping and laundry

  • Light, healthy cooking in absence of chef

  • Prepare breakfast when required

  • Inventory and stock control

  • Occasional table service

  • Laying of tables

  • Flower arranging

  • Overseeing seasonal teams

  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors

Exterior duties will include:

  • Backing up contracted gardening company

  • Mowing and general garden maintenance

  • General handyman and minor maintenance

  • Appliance and vehicle maintenance

  • Pool maintenance

  • Setting out and closing up of pool areas morning and evening

  • Troubleshooting

  • Preparing monthly reports for local property manager

A caretaker apartment located on the property is offered as accommodation with this role. Candidates must be able to speak fluent English and conversational French, have excellent letters of reference and have either EU nationality or valid documentation allowing employment in France.

Housekeeper/Cook ~ Mouans Sartoux POSITION NOW FILLED

An experienced is being sought by a British client who has a 400m2 , 5 bedroom luxury property close to Mougins. This couple are in residence for 4-5 months each summer at which time longer working hours will be required, the overtime accrued will be taken as ‘time off in lieu’ during the off-season months. In the summer months when the property is busy with guests, the employers will employ a professional chef however when it is only the couple staying at the property, they will require the housekeeper to prepare very simple meals, salads, a quiche, or pasta dish etc. Especially in the out of season months, the employer would like the housekeeper to keep an eye on the general running of the property, informing them if a plumber or external contractor may be required. A garden maintenance and pool service are already employed at the property.

Duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping

  • Setting and clearing of meal tables

  • Very simple meal preparation

  • Shopping

  • Setting up pool area with towels etc

Requirements:

  • Excellent previous experience and references

  • Fluent English and some basic spoken French to communicate with contractors

  • Some basic cooking skills

Live-Out Summer Chef ~ Cannes~ April to Oct POSITION NOW FILLED

A personal chef who has extensive knowledge and experience in traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine is required to work a 6 month contract in a large luxury villa in Cannes this summer. This client is passionate about Japanese cuisine and his tastes extend far beyond the usual requests for sushi, sashimi, tempura etc therefore his chef must be very confident in, and accustomed to, preparing Japanese menus. Other cuisines will also be required however chefs without the solid experience in Japanese cuisine cannot be considered for this role.

This position does not offer accommodation therefore applicants must live within easy travelling distance of Cannes and have their own transport. Working 6 days per week, the role offers a French CDD contract, alternatively the client can consider chefs who are able to legally invoice via a micro-entreprise or similar entity.

The chef will be required to start in April, (date still to be decided) and will finish their contract in October, (date still to be decided).

Salary: €6k net per month
