LIVE-OUT CHEF ~ ST PAUL DE VENCE ~ EARLY JULY TO EARLY SEPT

An experienced personal chef is required to provide lunch and dinner 6 days per week for a family vacationing at their villa in St Paul de Vence. The chef will also provide simple staff meals for 5/6 staff also employed at the property. In general there will be 3-7 family members staying at the villa throughout the summer with some or all having lunch and/or supper, when guests are also staying with the family there will be a maximum of 12 at mealtimes, there are no children to cook for in this group. The family will also occasionally eat in local restaurants and will also have days when they are on their yacht which is berthed locally.

Duties:

  • Provide lunch and dinner for 3-12 guests

  • Prepare fresh, light Mediterranean cuisines

  • Provide simple staff meals for 5/6 people

  • Maintain a clean, working environment/fridges etc

  • Work well within a small interior team

Requirements:

  • Several years prior/similar experience

  • Good knowledge of Mediterranean, fresh fish and seafood dishes

  • Good BBQ knowledge

  • Chef must live locally

  • Driver with own vehicle

  • Excellent plating/presentation skills

  • Speak fluent English

  • Excellent references

This role does not provide accommodation therefore the chef must live within easy travelling distance of St Paul de Vence and have a positive, flexible approach. Occasionally at weekends the chef might be asked to provide a brunch instead of a lunch but in general the chef will prepare lunch and dinner for the family.  It is essential that the chef speaks a good level of English and speaks enough French to be able to shop locally for produce etc.

Salary: TBD ( Microentreprise or CDD)

TEMP FAMILY COOK - MONACO - 1ST-31ST MAY POSITION NOW FILLED

Our regular client is currently seeking a family-style cook to prepare meals each day for the British couple and their small staff of interior workers. The cook will be replacing one of the family’s usual cooks who has had an accident. The cook will work 3.5 consecutive days per week – 8am to 10pm  - on rotation with the family’s other cook. The two older clients enjoy light, healthy meals along with occasional ‘comfort food’, they do not require ‘haute cuisine’ however beautifully cooked and nicely presented meals are expected. The cook must be able to legally invoice these clients

Requirements:

  • Microentrepreneur or similar

  • Excellent previous professional cooking experience

  • Excellent references

  • Fluent spoken English

  • Live within easy travelling distance of Monaco

Salary: €4k net per month

Start date: May 1st
