Permanent Personal Chef ~ Ibiza & Switzerland

This client is seeking a talented chef who has exceptional knowledge of nutrition, healthy eating and special dietary needs and is able to provide well-balanced meals for this busy couple and their young child. The client’s main home is just outside Zurich in Switzerland with a second home on the island of Ibiza therefore the chef will work between the two locations on a regular basis; there may also be some additional international travel. This young family are looking for a personable chef who has a hands-on approach, a cheerful character and good communication skills, someone able to deal with last minute changes calmly and efficiently and who will exhibit exceptional attention to detail and time management.


  • Responsible for the daily operations and running of the kitchen

  • Cooking high quality, nutritious meals for the principals, their family, guests and household staff.

  • Prepare food (in advance) for when the family travel by private jet

  • Adhering to all dietary requirements and assisting with supplement routine

  • Shopping for and ordering food in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner 

  • Maintaining exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards in kitchens

  • Responsible for ordering cleaning products and additionally kitchen stock

  • Working with the house management to ensure the house schedule is clear

  • Overseeing and engaging in the general upkeep of the kitchen, ensuring maintenance jobs are logged, and overseeing kitchen contractors when necessary 

  • Cooking for private dinner parties for up to 30 guests

  • Work with the Principals and their admin team to plan menus  

  • Carry out other duties as requested by the Principal or senior staff

  • Work with the Private Office where applicable to discuss arrangements relating to the kitchen, the household and family  

  • Prepare meals for the on-duty staff. 

These clients enjoy healthy, nutritious dishes that taste great and look stunning, they also have an interest in vegetarian cuisine along with a range of different cuisines, including: Italian, French, Mediterranean, Indian, Pacific Rim through to fusion, plating with flair and imagination. 

This busy family wish to maintain a positive lifestyle where nutrition and general holistic wellness is always considered. Generally working 5-days per week, the chef will need to be flexible about working hours and be able to work occasional weekends, bank holidays and holiday periods. Candidates must speak good English and a conversational level of either French, German or Spanish, must also have a current driving license and have a European passport.

Travelling Private Chef ~ UK/USA/Canada

Seeking a top-level private chef to work for a family with homes in the UK, USA & Canada. The chef will be part of a two-person chef team, working in rotation: 1 month on/1 month off. The chef will be required to travel for extensive periods of time, but will have the opportunity to return home for his/her month off. The chef will report to the executive chef.

Important: To conform with immigration requirements candidates must:

  • Speak fluent English and French

  • Be a British National or already have the established legal right to work in the UK.

  • Alternatively candidates can simply hold Canadian nationality.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Cooking and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for an elderly couple (the Principals) and on occasion, their immediate family and grandchildren. Sporadic dinner parties are also a common occurrence and can vary in size.

  • Preparation, seasoning, and decorating meals and dishes in ways that suit the requirements or orders that are placed by the Principals.

  • Monitoring and/or supervising the preparation and administration of meals from the kitchen by other staff members.

  • Maintaining inventory levels to ensure pantry and refrigerators are appropriately stocked with fresh food and ingredients, place necessary orders, and ensure that food safety standards are always adhered to.

  • Create menus to suit the needs of Principals and in some cases suggest new dishes to them.

  • Complete regular cleaning and disinfecting of work equipment, various kitchen surfaces and areas as well as the organization and cleaning of refrigerators.

  • The nature of the role is one that requires that they must be able and willing to work at odd hours eg: early in the morning to prepare meals for the day and late at night to clean-up and close down the kitchen.

  • Working in different locations will come with different logistical challenges.

Candidates should be able to offer:

  • Strong collaborative approach, excels in both small and large team environments

  • Energetic attitude with comfort working independently or as part of a team

  • Training in French Cuisine

  • Michelin star status

  • Ability to work in multiple countries.

  • Ability to manage high volume of work with a small team, in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment.

  • Must have valid driver’s license & a clean criminal record.

  • Formal training in the Culinary Arts.

  • Any other form of certification in catering would be of added advantage.

  • At least 5 years of work experience as a chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.

  • A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory chef role.

 Family Chef ~ London and Travel ~ Long Term

An experienced top level chef is required to provide international cuisine to a family of 5 at their home in London and travelling occasionally to Switzerland and Spain. Long working hours are required 7am to 8pm - 6 days per week. Accommodation of an independent apartment, 5 minutes walk from the Principal’s home is available as accommodation if required by the chef.

The Russian clients love beautifully presented, delicious food and they also enjoy healthy Mediterranean cuisines therefore if the chef is Italian, Spanish or French it may work in their favour. Applicants must speak good English and have a passport allowing ease of travel within Europe, unfortunately British nationals no longer have that freedom and sadly this may have to impact on the clients final decision.

Live-In Private Chef ~ St Tropez ~ Long Term

An experienced, innovative and energetic private chef is required to take up a long term role in a household close to St Tropez. There are two adults to cook for and at weekends a 13 year old child. This role is challenging in that the chef must be able to not only provide a wide range of international cuisines, they should also have excellent skills in preparing classical Japanese cuisine including Omakase-style sushi - this will be requested by the client on an almost daily basis. The Principal generally travels quite extensively however at present due to Covid restrictions he and his partner are staying in their St Tropez home.

It is important that the chef has his own microenterprise or other company via which he can invoice the client for his services. It is understood that working with a microenterprise, the chef may have additional clients to service and time will be made available for this. Accommodation of own bedroom with ensuite bathroom is offered as accommodation including a staff lounge with television etc. Candidates must speak fluent English and a knowledge of French would be an advantage.

Live-in Summer (Nutrition) Chef ~ early June to end August ~ St Tropez

An experienced chef who has excellent experience in preparing ultra-healthy cuisine for a family of four and their occasional guests, is required to cook 6 days per week, breakfast, lunch, supper from mid-June to end August. The family often eat lunch out during the week and the lunches eaten at the villa are always very light.

Fresh juices, smoothies, salads, gluten alternatives and mainly butter-free, will be required for the majority of meals – however the father in the family also loves to occasionally indulge in classical and contemporary French gastronomy. The summer chef last season was previously a sous chef in a Michelin-starred restaurant and although this level of cuisine is not required on a daily basis, applicants must be able to cook to a very high level if requested.

The focus for the family this summer is healthy, fresh and balanced, the chef must be able to make ’gluten-alternative’ breads, exciting salads, light fresh desserts etc therefore the chef must have excellent knowledge of nutrition along with solid experience cooking modern, gastronomical cuisines.

Accommodation is provided in a shared staff apartment incorporated into the main house. Candidates must speak fluent English, some basic French and be able to drive.

Salary: €5k pm
