Housekeeper/Cook ~ Mouans Sartoux

An experienced is being sought by a British client who has a 400m2 , 5 bedroom luxury property close to Mougins. This couple are in residence for 4-5 months each summer at which time longer working hours will be required, the overtime accrued will be taken as ‘time off in lieu’ during the off-season months. In the summer months when the property is busy with guests, the employers will employ a professional chef however when it is only the couple staying at the property, they will require the housekeeper to prepare very simple meals, salads, a quiche, or pasta dish etc. Especially in the out of season months, the employer would like the housekeeper to keep an eye on the general running of the property, informing them if a plumber or external contractor may be required. A garden maintenance and pool service are already employed at the property.

Duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping

  • Setting and clearing of meal tables

  • Very simple meal preparation

  • Shopping

  • Setting up pool area with towels etc

Requirements:

  • Excellent previous experience and references

  • Fluent English and some basic spoken French to communicate with contractors

  • Some basic cooking skills

  • Capable, organised and efficient

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Proactive and reactive

  • Driving license

  • Flexible, warm approach

  • Able to work longer hours when required in high season with any time off accrued over the summer, being taken between October and March.

  • Able to assess any external service providers required - especially off-season

Live-Out Chef ~ Vence ~ May 26 - June 1

Our clients are seeking a locally-based chef to work one week from Sunday 26th May to Saturday 1st June cooking for 4 adults, 2 younger children (3/7) plus 2 nannies.
This group of guests really love Mexican cuisine along with most other international cuisines - plus BBQ’s; they do like to try to eat healthily as often as possible.
This role does not offer accommodation therefore candidates must live within easy travelling distance of Vence, must speak a good level of English, have their own transport and be able to legally invoice the client for their work via a microentreprise or similar.

Summer Chef (poss. Permanent) ~ Cannes & Sardinia

Our client is looking for an experienced chef, skilled in providing high-quality presentation of various international cuisines including Italian, French and Mediterranean to work the coming summer months at his Cannes estate plus two weeks in July working at his property in Sardinia. This client also has homes Paris, USA, Cairo and Jeddah. If the chef is a good match for the client and his family and is interested in taking up a long term travelling chef role then after the first three months, the client will offer a permanent position to the chef.

Requirements:

  • Good spoken English

  • Excellent high-level restaurant and private experience

  • Flexible approach

  • Able to adapt quickly to change of plans

  • Driving license

  • EU nationality

  • Excellent references from previous employers

There is a second chef already employed by the family therefore the summer chef will not be working alone during the busy periods. Accommodation is be offered with this role.

Salary: €6.5k net per month negotiable

Live-Out Summer Chef ~ Cannes~ 5-6 months POSITION NOW FILLED

A personal chef is required for a 5-6 month contract for our client who will be staying at his private property in Cannes this spring and summer. The chef must be able to provide a high level of international cuisines, live within easy travelling distance of Cannes and have their own transport. Working 6 days per week, breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2-10 guests dependent on the month. This role can either be declared on a CDD or alternatively the chef can invoice the client via a French microenterprise or similar. Applicants must speak a good level of English.
Salary: €6k net per month

Live-Out Chef ~ Vence ~ 26th May -1st June + Summer

Our clients are seeking a locally-based chef for several weeks in June and July and all of August - initially one week from Sunday 26th May to Saturday 1st June cooking for 4 adults, 2 younger children (3/7) plus 2 nannies. followed by a varying numbers of family/guests for several more weeks during June and July. In August the chef will be required to work 6 or 7 days per week for the full month.
The exact summer dates will be confirmed to us within the next few days and will be updated on our website.

Live-Out Summer Chef ~ Cannes~ April to Oct POSITION NOW FILLED

A personal chef who has extensive knowledge and experience in traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine is required to work a 6 month contract in a large luxury villa in Cannes this summer. This client is passionate about Japanese cuisine and his tastes extend far beyond the usual requests for sushi, sashimi, tempura etc therefore his chef must be very confident in, and accustomed to, preparing Japanese menus. Other cuisines will also be required however chefs without the solid experience in Japanese cuisine cannot be considered for this role.

This position does not offer accommodation therefore applicants must live within easy travelling distance of Cannes and have their own transport. Working 6 days per week, the role offers a French CDD contract, alternatively the client can consider chefs who are able to legally invoice via a micro-entreprise or similar entity.

The chef will be required to start in April, (date still to be decided) and will finish their contract in October, (date still to be decided).

Salary: €6k net per month
