Family Chef ~ Cap Martin ~ Long Term

An excellent chef with both land and yacht experience, skilled in cooking French, Italian and vegetarian cuisines to a high level, is required to cook for a Russian family of five living on Cap Martin.

The chef will work in rotation with another family chef who is already employed.

Working hours/days: Week One: 3 days. Week Two: 4 days – 6am to 8.30pm (flexi).

The chef will occasionally be required to travel with the family. Accommodation is not offered with this position therefore candidates must live within easy travelling distance of Cap Martin, they must be non-smokers and must be able to work well in a fast-changing environment and have a friendly, flexible approach. Applicants should be able to speak both English and some French.

Pastry Chef ~ Chateau/Var ~ 9th to 22nd December  POSITION NOW FILLED

An experienced pastry chef who speaks English and preferably some French is required to help cater for a two week 'launch party' of 16 to 20 mainly American guests which is taking place at a luxury chateau in the Var region. The pastry chef will join a team of 4, Head Chef, Sous Chef and Commis. Excellent pastry, dessert and bread-making skills are required plus an ability and willingness to work as part of a cohesive team supporting other kitchen sections/chefs when necessary. Sous Chef & Pastry Chef & Commis Chef ~ Chateau /Var ~ 9th to 22nd December POSITIONS NOW FILLED

Three very experienced chefs – Sous – Pastry – Commis - are required for a special two week event being held at a luxury chateau located in the Var region. Applicants must be accustomed to working well within a small brigade, have a friendly, flexible approach, be used to working at the highest level of service and willing to assist the other chefs within the team. A good level of spoken English, excellent letters of reference and a recent DBS/Casier Judiciare are essential. Applicants should be located in France, preferably already located in the south – staff accommodation is provided for the full booking period.

Occasional and Summer Chef ~ Mougins  POSITION NOW FILLED

An experienced freelance chef is required to cook for occasional weeks outside of the summer season and full-time in the high season months. The chef needs to have good experience preparing gluten free/ vegetarian/vegan and good quality family/home cooking as well as being able to prepare classical and contemporary cuisines . Candidates should have a driving license and be willing to multi-task when necessary as they may be asked on occasion to drive the Principal or guests locally. The chef must be able to invoice the client via a ‘micro’ or other French-based business, have a flexible approach and must be fluent in both English and French.

Family Chef ~ Mougins ~ 20th July to 10th August       POSITION NOW FILLED

An experienced chef is required to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days per week for a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 children who are staying in a villa in Mougins from 20th July to 10th August. The three children and nanny will take their meals earlier than their parents-  who generally have supper at around 8pm each evening. The family enjoy a variety of cuisines, French, Italian, Mediterranean etc. The chef must have their own transport and live within easy travelling distance of Mougins as this position does not offer accommodation.

Chef          7* Luxury Estate            Var         Mid-October POSITION NOW FILLED

A top level chef is required to work for two weeks in October - most likely from 12th – 26th - to cater to changing groups of guests who will be visiting the property for a few days during the two week period. The chef must be highly experienced in preparing a variety of international cuisines to a very high standard to include European, Asian, American and Special Dietary requirements. The chef must be able to drive, speak English to a good level and also speak conversational French. The property will be fully staffed with service and housekeeping personnel during this period and staff accommodation is offered. This property will will also require a chef for several months in 2020.
