Live-in Head of Service/FOH ~ Provence ~ April to October
Our returning client is seeking a highly experienced Live-In Head of Service/Interior Manager - with excellent Front of House skills -  for their large rural estate in the Vaucluse region of Provence. Family and guests use the property throughout the summer season; this is a busy property and there are often large parties of guests and social events which require a team of skilled interior service staff along with a strong well-managed housekeeping team. The Head of Service/Interior Manager would be responsible for ensuring a 5* level of guests services throughout the interior of the property.

  • Training and experience in providing guest services to a 5* level

  • Meet and Greet of all guests

  • Concierge services

  • Training of interior service staff

  • Recruitment and oversight of housekeeping staff

  • 5* F&B service skills

  • Fluent spoken English

  • Spoken French an advantage

  • Driving license

  • Ability to lead and work alongside a team

During busy periods working days can be long with any overtime worked being taken as time off when the property is not being used by the family or guests. Accommodation is offered with this role.

Live-Out Seasonal Butler ~ St Paul de Vence ~ 2.5 months

Our returning client who has a large luxury property in St Paul de Vence is seeking an experienced and qualified butler to provide daily meal and guest services throughout their period of residency usually mid-June to the end of August, possibly early September. The property is fully staffed in the summer season with a resident couple in place all year round, a team of seasonal housekeepers plus the client’s personal chef who travels with them. Working 6 days per week on a CDD ( short term contract) with start and finish times yet to be decided.

Duties will include:

  • Setting and clearing of tables at meal times

  • Formal F&B service dependent on guests and occasion

  • Guest service throughout the day

  • Occasional driving

  • Liaising with the chef on the daily menus

  • Beverage stock control

  • Table decoration, napkins, flowers etc


  • Trained and qualified in Hospitality/Butler Service

  • Experienced in formal service - including silver service

  • Good knowledge of wines

  • Able to set a beautiful table

  • Work well within a small household team

  • Fluent English - some French an advantage but not essential

  • Driving license

  • Lives locally

  • Flexible approach

  • Able to work longer hours if requested during busier periods


This role does not offer accommodation therefore candidates must live within easy travelling distance of St Paul de Vence and have their own transport. Start and finish dates are yet to be finalised however most summers the clients arrive mid to late June and stay until the end of August or early September.

Seasonal (possible long term) FOH/ Manager ~ near Sarrians

An experienced and skilled Front of House/Manager is required to welcome guests, lead the interior and service teams and provide management services when required. The chateau property has 9 suites in the main building with six others in the two annexe areas of the property; it is often rented to large UHNW groups of varying nationalities therefore candidates must be able to speak fluent English and good French, other languages are a plus although not essential.

The successful candidate will carry out a variety of duties to include:

  • Welcoming UHNW guests on arrival

  • On-site concierge services

  • Lead F&B and interior/housekeeping teams

  • Consult with chefs on daily service

  • Communicate guests preferences to chefs and interior teams

  • Prepare rotas for housekeeping and guest services

  • Provide impeccable F&B service

  • Assist where required with general admin duties

This role will begin in early spring and will continue until at least late September, possibly leading into a long term contract for the right candidate. Accommodation can be provided and a good salary is offered with this role. Candidates must have either a current carte de sejour or have EU nationality.

Seasonal Butler ~ St Tropez ~ Summer '24

An experienced ‘live-in’ or ‘live-out’ seasonal butler is required to work from mid-June to mid-September in a luxury property in St Tropez. In general service is not particularly formal however there will be occasions when there will be larger, more formal receptions at which time formal table/guest service will be required. Often there will only be a group of 4 or 5 in residence but there will also be weeks when the older children and their friends will be staying at the property at which time there will be up to 14 people in residence. Working 6 days a week, working from breakfast to dinner with occasional breaks when possible during the day. The working schedule will vary as there will be times when all meals will be taken at the villa and other times when the guests are out for both lunch and dinner.

The Property Manager and additional staff will be available to assist with service if there are larger groups/events at the property.

Duties will include:

  • Formal and informal table service

  • Laying and clearing of tables for all meals

  • Consulting with villa chef on service requirements

  • Guests services on interior and exterior

  • Good knowledge of wines and wine service

  • Cocktail/Pre-dinner service

  • Oversee other service staff for more formal/busier events


  • Several years of previous high-level service/butler experience

  • Fluent spoken English

  • Clean driving license

  • Able to work well in a team

  • Adaptable and flexible

  • Excellent references

Air-conditioned accommodation with a private bathroom can be provided in the villa’s staff quarters. This role is open also to candidates who have excellent chief steward/ess experience on the larger luxury yachts.
